In the beginning
In a far away place, long ago, we were the “inimitable” rhythm section for Mozart and the Wolfgang. Gigs usually twice every weekend, blowing out the walls at Temple Gardens, holding down the streets of Moose Jaw and traveling through most of the southern part of SK. One week ago in Edmonton, Don Quinn and I met for the first time in almost forty years to compare notes.
Christmas at Emily Carr
I wasn't able to sit with Santa at the party today. I did better than that, Landon Mackenzie and Renee van Halm welcomed me to their table.
Big Hugs
On Friday evening, I got an opportunity to get to Liz Ingram's opening at Malaspina. Liz is part of the fabulous print team at the Universtiy of Alberta and produces some of the best prints and drawings being made in western Canada.
“Ladies and gentlemen presenting Scratch!”
I am hosting this duo at my home for the entire week of the Vancouver International Improv Festival. Someone at work informed me that this picture was at bus shelters all around the city. The young guy on the right, my son Arlen, got all his talent from me! Who knew? Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Apparently Scratch burned up the stage at the Festival.
