Bob Boyer passed away unexpectedly four years ago today.  He was one of Canada's great artists and a good friend.  We always had a good time together, I learned much from him, and I deeply respect him.  Along the way we also were able to smoke a few cigars together in Fort McMurray and Regina.  I dug through boxes of photographs looking for one that I could post. Wouldn't you know it?  I don't have one.  Someone told me that the National Gallery of Canada had never bought art from a living Canadian First Nation's artist until they acquired one

It has been a good summer for making art.  Rhonda and I have much new work and the"Digital Corpse" photographs made in Banff and intaglio prints begun last fall (and completed in June) are now online here.  This is "Encounter", the first print in the series.  Follow the prints link to see the rest of them.
