Digital Corpse

A strange utility on an old digital camera that I haul around allows you to shoot “two-in-one”. This means you have to find something to photograph, frame it and click the shutter twice to complete a single photograph. The two exposures appear side by side in the finished work. In between the two clicks of the shutter the first image disappears so that you do not know what it was…. my collaborative partner, Rhonda Neufeld, and I have played with this feature to create at least half a dozen portfolios of prints in small editions. One of us (often without the others awareness) initiates the shoot and then passes the camera to the other to make the second exposure. We are curious about what the other might find of interest in the world to include in a work and about the images that result from exploring the potentials of chance.

The Digital Corpse images are printed on Epson Enhanced Matte paper, image size: 6 X 8 inches, paper size: 12 x 14 inches. They are printed in editions of five.
